Brakimo Slim Damascus

Damascus usually forces a choice. Most patterned steel is carbon based, which means oil, attention, and a dry place to keep it. The knife ends up in a drawer or on a shelf, admired and never carried, because using it becomes a maintenance project.

This run removes that choice. TOPS rarely works with Damascus and rarely does small custom drops, so when we do one, the materials are the whole point. The Brakimo Slim Damascus is a run of 100 knives, engraved differently from every other Brakimo Slim, built on the same profile Joe Flowers of Bushcraft Global designed for jungle work.

What sets this run apart:

• Vegas Forge Stainless Damascus: Pattern-welded from stainless steel, so it carries the pattern without the rust babysitting that traditional Damascus demands.
• Voodoo Resins Hulk Caged Scales: A proprietary epoxy blend poured over an aluminum cage, stronger and more durable than off-the-shelf resin, and patterned so no two knives look the same.
• Run of 100: A single small drop with its own engraving. When TOPS makes Damascus, it makes very few.
• OD Green Kydex Sheath: A dedicated sheath for this run, in place of the standard model's brown.

We chose materials that are difficult to make and hold value because of what they are. Most people will buy the standard Brakimo Slim for what it does, and that is the right call. This one is for the collector who wants the grail version of a knife that already earned its reputation. A lot of these will still get carried and used, which is exactly how it should be. They were built as working knives. The materials just moved up a tier.

Please Note: While stainless Damascus resists corrosion far better than traditional carbon Damascus, it still benefits from regular maintenance. Clean the blade thoroughly after exposure to salt water, moisture, or organic material, and apply a light coat of oil periodically to protect the steel. Made in USA with imported steel.
