El Chete Mini
The Mini that isn’t so Mini
When El Chete was released in 2017, it took off, immediately becoming a top selling model for TOPS. Something about the functionality of the blade along with its aesthetics just struck a chord with people in the knife community. The Mini version originally became a thought after making some wooden Christmas ornaments that were shrunken versions of full-sized blades. A few of those ornaments looked like they would make awesome knives. So, TOPS decided to get some minis made.
Coming in at 8 and 3/4 inches overall, the El Chete Mini is only mini compared to the original. From tip to handle, it’s a 5-and-a-half-inch blade with the same characteristic blade shape that made the original so popular. It has the same finish as the full-sized version and has green canvas Micarta handles. The Kydex sheath makes this knife a breeze to carry as an EDC on your hip and you’ll find yourself looking for reasons to show this knife off once you get it.
