The inspiration for the TOPS Knives I Stick Mini came directly from a conversation designer Leo Espinoza had at the 2025 NRA Annual Meetings. A female law enforcement officer explained her struggle to find a reliable self-defense knife due to an old hand injury that compromised her grip strength. She needed a tool that stayed locked in her hand without relying on a tight wrap-around grip. Leo went to work, shrinking the footprint of our massive, original I Stick while keeping its famous, heavy-duty build. The result is the ISTKM-01, a compact tactical push dagger built to provide maximum defensive protection in close quarters.
