If you were headed to discover new worlds like the famous Norseman Leif Eriksson, the Viking Tactics Norseman is the knife you would have carried. Designed by Kyle Lamb of Viking Tactics®, this is the perfect all-around big blade for hunting, survival, or conducting modern-day combat operations. Inspired by both Norse heritage and a tribute to one of SGM Lamb’s fallen soldiers, the VTAC Norseman delivers unwavering reliability when you need it most.

Experience the confidence that comes with carrying a tool forged from expertise and dedication:

  • Proven 1095 Steel Blade (5.88"): Differentially heat-treated for exceptional edge retention (RC 56-58) and toughness, this blade cuts easily and allows for reliable field sharpening.
  • Durable Tungsten Cerakote Finish: Provides superior corrosion resistance and excellent wear protection for the blade in demanding conditions.
  • Secure Ergonomic Handle: Contoured Tan and Green Canvas Micarta scales offer a comfortable, non-slip grip, even when wet or gloved, fitting your hand like a second skin for maximum control.
  • Versatile Kydex Sheath: The included Coyote Tan Kydex sheath comes equipped with MOLLE-Loks, offering secure retention and adaptable mounting options for your tactical gear.
  • Unique Heritage Design: Features a "sexy spine" tastefully decorated with a machined Viking Vine for enhanced grip and aesthetic appeal, complemented by distinct blood-colored handle liners.

Drawing inspiration from VTAC’s legendary designs, the VTAC Norseman knife offers a formidable 5.5" cutting edge on its robust 0.19" thick, full-tang blade. This large tactical fixed blade feels balanced and capable, whether you're chopping wood for camp, processing game, or facing a critical defensive situation. Proudly presented by Kyle Lamb, the VTAC Norseman embodies the warrior spirit – ready for anything, built to endure, and dependable to the core.

(Care Note: Like all high-carbon 1095 steel blades, keep the edge bevel clean and lightly oiled to prevent rust and ensure lasting performance.)

Absolute best
The handler is less thick around on the handle giving you a good grip also has an enlarged pommel to prevent the knife from escaping the hand. The two tone colors are amazing. The blood Grove is cool looking. The sheath I'd way better than than nylon ones. Review by John (Posted on 8/29/2020)
It's excellent at what it's designed for. It is also beautiful.
I bought the Norseman as a knife to mount to my 5.11 Backpack. It being Multicam, the color matched and the molle lock sheath mated up perfectly to the pack. Now onto the knife: It's simply beautiful. The spine work is just so much fun to look at. I love that it carries over into jimping on the top of the blade. I love that the blade is made of 1095 steel. It's durable and can handle anything I need it for. The edge sharpness was perfect out of the box. All things considered, I think this is a phenomenal blade that can accomplish anything I might want to do out in the field. Whether it's cooking, bushcrafting (the design begs you to choke up on the choil for fine detail work) or something more tactically related, it simply does everything right. Props to Viking Tactics and Tops for the excellent collaboration! If you have a cool-guy molle pack, this knife deserves a place on it. Review by @daveontherun (Posted on 8/5/2020)
