If you love our Coyote Tan finish, our modified Scandi grind, and our MSK 2.5, then we have something special for you. The Mini Scandi Survival. This version of our most popular neck knife has our Coyote Tan powder coat, Black Linen Micarta handle scales with red liners, and comes with a sturdy black Kydex neck sheath.
Originally designed from the Finnish Sami knife, used by the Laplanders for all their hunting and bushcraft tasks, Scandi grind knives have traditionally been flat ground, single or double sided, with a "zero-ground" edge. The Mini Scandi was a result of the very popular, original Brothers of Bushcraft (BROS-01) knife. It occurred to Leo Espinoza, who designed the Mini Scandi, that a good idea is still a good idea in a smaller package. It offers all the advantages of a modified Scandi grind (10 degrees) in a neck/small sheath knife that can also fit in your pocket or pack.
The Mini Scandi Knife is not only our most popular neck knife; it’s one of our most popular overall knives. This level of popularity brought many requests for different choices. - Nice knife
- I own 2 other top knives. I have been waiting for a Tom Brown tracker 2 for several months and emailed customer service to see when the product might be available. I received a response from the company early the next morning. I WI was so impressed with the response that I decided to buy a Mini Scandi as a second EDC knife. The knife we arrived within a week and came with the scabbard nickname and whistle. Like the other bigger knives I've purchased from Tops the the Mini scandi proved to be a good looking, durable knife. I've only used it a few times to feather some wood and cut some small branches but so far it so far it's held its edge well. It's a very comfortable small knife which I think will perform well for many daily tasks. (Posted on 3/22/2022)
- Sweet little knife
- The MSK Survival was the third tops knife I purchased. I Carry it as a neck knife and is part of my EDC. Can't say enough good things about it. Fantastic knife. (Posted on 6/2/2020)
