M-PAT
Kill and Survive
The MPAT is the creation of US service member Seth Brown and is specifically designed for fighter jet aircrew. Its slim profile and stout size keep it on your combat vest and out of the way. It’s ideal for vertical carry, and with two modes of sheath retention, it’s not going anywhere until you need it. The MPAT’s applications extend beyond the cockpit as well and is perfectly suited for a riggers belt or on a tactical vest. Right there when you need it and out of the way when you don’t. When you only have space for one self-defense and survival knife, there’s the MPAT.
Kill and Survive.

- Excellent EDC Knife, OK EDC Sheath
-
I purchased a customized version of this knife primarily for my upcoming deployment, but also with the intention of replacing my tried & true Loner as my EDC knife. I called TOPs to request this knife in the Black Traction Coating finish, Black Micarts Grip scales and a Black Kydex sheath. They were happy to accommodate my requests. As per usual, TOPs customer service is second to none and the fit and finish is unmatched.

OVERALL:
Despite the issues I have when wearing this knife on a belt for EDC, I love the knife. The sheath is fantastic when attached to a chest rig or vest (as the designer intended it to be). I am very happy with my purchase, just be aware of the issue’s I’ve listed if you intend to use this knife as your EDC. (Posted on 7/12/2026) - TOPS M-PAT, a cut above the rest!
- This M-PAT blade came with a Razor Sharo 1095 HC steel blade, beautifully customized with the additional camo pattern I ordered at checkout. The G10 grips are very durable and grippy with a deep grooved texture. The low-profile and compact size of this blade makes it a very desirable EDC tool. The kydex sheath securely holds the blade without movement with a secondary strap included for added retention. The clips on the rear of the sheath are adaptable to fit MOLLE gear and most pistol/tactical belts and are remoneable if you would like to add an aftermarket mounting option This blade is rapidly becoming my favorite EDC option!
