In an article written by Al Pickles (32 year veteran law enforcement), in the magazine "Guns and Weapons for Law Enforcement" Oct 2006 he said:
"The TOPS 'SAW' came out as a new TOPS working knife, particularly well suited for the law enforcement community. It is definitely suitable for the working police officer. I might also add 'The male or Female' since so many young women have chosen the profession since the long ago years when I wore the badge". This knife was designed by famed undercover operator Jerry Van Cook.

- Love it!
- I bought this knife for its edc abilities, and I was not disappointed! I love how it feels in my hand, and I love how it performs even better. This thing cuts everything, looks good doing it, and feels great while it is doing it. I cannot say enough about this one. (Posted on 1/5/2023)
- Excellent knife
- I own this knife. Its a great EDC, It stays sharp a long time. I took it with me on a moose hunt. Needless to say , you can cape a moose with it without having to stop to sharpen it ! I imagine all of TOPS knives are like that though. I highly recommend owning one. (Posted on 8/16/2021)
