The Silent Hero was designed by Anton Du Plessis, who at the time of the design was the Chief of Operations for the Specialized Interdiction Unit of the Silent Heroes Foundation. His task was to combat the poaching crisis in South Africa. This knife had to be durable, versatile, and able to fill Anton's needs in the field, which affected the design of the blade and the handle. It will definitely hold up to hard use. And with a weight of only 12 oz, you'll be able to use the knife without getting fatigued too quickly.

There is a lanyard hole in the handle along with another in the finger guard. This is meant to allow the user to add a safety cord to improve the grip on the handle, which already allows for a solid grip. The finger-guard hole can also be used to assist in lashing to a spear when the situation warrants it.

There is a finger choil up into the blade to give you the ability to choke up and execute precise, fine cuts. The drop point design makes this knife great for slicing and gives the tip extra strength. So this knife will be a great knife for bushcraft, survival, and tactical purposes.

The black leather sheath is durable and looks great paired with this knife. The Silent Hero is held in place with a single snap loop that curls around the finger guard.

The Silent Hero is a great design and a very versatile blade. It is large enough that it can be used to chop but is also still small enough to complete most of the tasks you can do or want to do with a smaller knife.

Does it all!!!
One of my new favorite knives… As close to a do it all as I’ve found. Chops, batons, slices, cuts, and if that isn’t enough, I am sure that if you need to knock someone out, you could just smack them with the side of the blade… It is light, fast, nimble, and slices like nobodies business. The handle is longer than I expected, but that is one of the pluses. You can choke back and get a better snap for a chop. The lanyard holes are genius, and the sheath is great. Great Camp Knife
The Silent Hero is a very unique design, I find it to be a camp version of a kitchen chef's knife. It can do pretty much every task you would need while camping. It has a good sized blade for cutting up potatoes and other vegetables like a chef's knife. It is also very nice that they have two position as to where you can grip the knife so you can choke up on it to do fine cutting tasks. The handles are a little on the thin side (I have the smooth handle version) but that is how a lot of kitchen knives are and I do wish it was a little thicker for my large sized hands. The one thing I wouldn't say it is really good at is chopping. I dinged mine up pretty good while chopping some Alligator Juniper which was a shock to me but I was able to fix and sharpen the blade back up without a problem. The other knock I have on the knife is the jimping, the middle section of where the jimping starts and end (the top most portion) is smooth. They should have added one or two more cuts to give this knife "full" jimping. I have heard a lot of people don't like the sheath but it works for me. It isn't anything special but it serves it's purpose. All in all, this is a great knife for camping and taking out into the woods just wish the jimping was full and the handles a little thicker. Love it.
It is a positive piercing, thick, stout, kitchen knife with a great handle. Also, the size and weight make it lovely to carry.

It can be compared to the desert nomad in terms of versatility, but this knife is a little more pleasant to carry for a number of reasons.

{With regard to this knife, I have to say the one thing TOPS doesn't want to hear. It would be a great in stainless too.}

sugerencia: mejorar mango
excelente cuchillo.
Sugerencia: Agreguen al mango un rompe cocos o pomo percutor tipo cremallera y también agreguen al mango un agujero para hacer fuego por fricción para bushcraft
