Traveling Lite and Doing it right!
TOPS Lite Trekker (Traveling light... and doing it right)
In recent years, there has been a surge in outdoor activities; trekkers, backpackers, survivalists, preppers, and numerous other like-minded individuals are spending more and more time developing their skills and using their tools to improve their level of self-reliance.
In these uncertain times, it is definitely wise to have some kind of light tool with you, regardless of whether you are going "off grid" for the weekend or adding this knife to your Bug-Out-Bag. The TOPS Lite Trekker fulfills two tasks especially well
#1- It's efficiency and
#2- It's light and as strong as possible.
Equally adept in urban settings or in the wild, this is definitely an ounce counter's dream. In addition, the ability to quickly spot your knife on the ground or in the bush is a definite positive when selecting one of the neon handle options.
TOPS Lite Trekker is the culmination of several months of designing and refining. A few years back at the Blade Show, Joe (Shangoman) Flowers, his wife Ashley, and Leo (the Lion) Espinoza put their heads together on a new joint collaboration to design a light, durable, and functional tool. We have already seen their combined field time and design experience come through on some winning models.
After numerous revisions, the TOPS Lite Trekker has several well-thought-out features such as a positive grip, high-visibility squares set into the handle design, and a wide yet thin blade that keeps weight down and strength up. When selecting one of the neon versions, the textured handle includes the choice of colored squares.
It is flat ground for the sharpest and lightest combination in its size class. This tool comes with a 3 rod fire-starter and 126 DB emergency whistle. Wherever your travels take you or what surprises come your way, you can feel comfortable with the capabilities of the TOPS Lite Trekker.

- A Mora killer

I have given this knife to a couple of my ultralight backpacker friends. They always carry the lightest gear. They both have told me they don’t even carry their ‘old’ knives any more.
This is the ultimate lightweight heavy duty knife.
I have one paired with my Armageddon, and as a compliment to my Power Eagle 12.
Well worth carrying anywhere. (Posted on 12/10/2023) - Great field/practical survival knife! Not too thick
- This knife is an absolute wonder at field work and woodwork. Slices well, lightweight, strong due to its wide blade. Also battons really well! I love how the handle lines with the center of the blade, gives a much better overall feel to me. Im a fan of full flat grinds as well for pretty much most tasks. Lightweight but i dont feel like this is skimping on strength due to its wide blade. My favorite looking/practical survival knife of them all. Thumbs up Tops (Posted on 4/20/2018)
