FDX 44 Shark Heat
Field Duty Extreme
Sharks have been around for over 420 million years, and estimates are that their are about 440 different species. The shark has a highly streamlined body. Generally the well known species are considered apex predators on the top of the underwater food chain. Realistically speaking the sharks tremendous bite is well known to rip and tear its prey apart.
TOPS Knives used the input from a variety of field operators to design and develope the FDX Shark Heat. The Shark Heat is part of our FDX (Field Duty Extreme) series. We worked with Search and Rescue personnel, white water kayakers, climbers, EMT's, mariners, survival instructors, fire departments, etc. to refine and enhance the design. The wide blade with lots of large serrations, are enhanced by a very posive index finger grip, that in most circumstances eliminates the slippery-when-wet factor. This is a tried and tested design, which has proven its worth in the field.
