Hazen Legion 6.0
Special Ops Trust TOPS
Mark Hazen has been designing and making custom knives since 1976. He has had a lot of success through the years. The Legion model has been one of his most popular. He approached TOPS Knives in 2015 with the prospect of making one of his designs as a production piece. Needless to say, TOPS was happy to oblige.
The Hazen Legion 6.0 is a slim, tactical knife that has sleek lines. It was designed for combat. The tip is great for deep penetration, and the long blade gives plenty of real estate for slashing cuts too. Aside from being a tactical knife, this piece is great for field operators as it will perform many outdoor tasks well. Plus, 1095 high carbon steel is easy to re-sharpen in the field when it becomes necessary. With comfortable Black Linen Micarta handle scales and a nice Kydex sheath, this blade is ready right out of the box.

I got this knife almost two years ago to replace my Malco fixed blade for work. I wanted something tough but this knife I'm genuinely impressed with, cutting fiberglass insulation against concrete and beating it into, AND ACROSS sheet metal with a hammer like sticks for firewood and it just keeps going. I know this isn't the intended use for this particular blade but it just goes to show you get what you pay for and this knife was worth it.
TOPS PLEASE make a knife of similar dimension with a semi exposed flat tang and thicker blade (Posted on 12/16/2022) - What a blade!
- Fast, sharp and easy to maintain. I love this blade (Posted on 9/20/2022)
- Quick
- Very light and fast knife. The hook on the end of the hilt does limit the grips you can use but in truth that is the only thing I find wrong with this knife. I ordered mine with the RMT and the top edge sharpened. The RMT works wonderfully on the knife as does the sharpened top edge. Mine came very very dull both the main edge and top would not even cut paper. With just a little work this was fixed. (Posted on 3/19/2019)
