Designed by Tom Brown and featured in the movie "The Hunted" as well as the cover of BLADE Magazine. For people that enjoy the design of the Tom Brown Tracker #1, but would like something a little smaller, the Tom Brown Tracker #2 is the perfect fit.
It is approximately 2 and a half inches shorter than the Tom Brown Tracker #1 (the original), and it's also 3/16" thick instead of 1/4". The smaller version still gives the user the ability to complete the same tasks as the #1 in a lighter package. Either way, you can't go wrong with a Tom Brown Tracker.

I bought this knife prior to attending a military survival school and it is easily the most versatile knife that I own. I was originally going to buy the mini, but ended up going with the #2 after talking to customer service about the sizes. The sheath is also well constructed and the knife sits securely with a well felt "click". I wouldn't consider it an EDC knife by any means, but it goes with me on every off-roading and camping/backpacking trip.
I also have to say that customer service at TOPS Knives is top notch. I called to see if they would be able to get the knife built and shipped on fairly short notice. They said they could do it and absolutely followed through. I look forward to further exploring the Tracker #2 and doing business with TOPS Knives again in the future. Best knife I have ever owned. I got it while I was deployed in Iraq after reading The Tracker by Tom Brown and seeing the movie The Hunted which Tom Brown helped with. aI carried it with me everywhere I went even after I got home. I used it on every camping and hunting trip, and learned a ton of bushcraft skills with this blade. Needless to say it had some sentimental value and I was extremely attached to this amazing knife.
If your into bushcraft skills and love having a knife you can rely on, this knife is great. There are so many different things you can do with every part of this knife and I put every part to the test without any failures. The edge is very strong and holds up to some brutal chopping and battoning. The handle has fit every one of my friends hands perfectly and can be held in different spots depending on the job you are trying to do. Because of it's smaller size compared to the Tracker #1 I could do some finer work with it, but it did still have some heft which made it a great chopper.
I actually got a Hedgehog Leatherworks sheath for it and loved carrying it on the small of my back everywhere I went. Unfortunately it was stolen and never recovered. If I had the funds I would totally buy the knife and the sheath again. BEST KNIFE EVER!!! (Posted on 1/9/2017)
