The Tom Brown Tracker has been one of the most popular blades produced by TOPS for many years. It is one of the biggest, beefiest multi-tools in existence. Designed by Tom Brown Jr. and featured in the movie "The Hunted" as well as on the cover of Blade Magazine. This design was made for chopping, skinning, carving, gutting, scoring, cutting, slashing, slicing, and just about anything else you would need to do in the wilderness. The Coyote Tan version of the Tracker is every bit as useful but has a fresh new look.

Yes - you can throw it
1) You can throw it
2) If you throw it - it won’t damage/dull the lower cutting surface if you miss, the tip also holds up very well. The handle hasn’t shattered or anything from hitting the back end either.
3) Is near indestructible

If you are even thinking about getting one - Get it! As a former Green Beret who grew up running around West Virginia - if you have some property to play on - this is a good beast to carry. (lots of fun)

Very nice, New tan colors
The TOPS web site says they are changing the color of their tan knife. Looks like I got one of the new ones. The blade seems almost like a gold. The handle is a very dark OD--almost black. The case is probably unchanged. I actually like the new scheme better, but if you are expecting one like in the picture be forewarned. It is a full 1/4" thick which makes it heavy and beefy. Should be good for chopping. There are many video reviews on YT of people putting it through its paces. Also, some of the TOPS manufacturing process. The blades are shaped by computer controlled machines, but everything else is hand crafted by people you get to meet. They also have a lifetime free sharpening service. Positively undecided
I have a 09 #1 tracker ,modified grind ,seams to do everything needed with little effort. I live in MN so I haven't had a true test yet but I don't see any problem. This is a great knife if you can adapt to the tool and maybe read the instructions/ guidelines Review by Stephen (Posted on 2/8/2019)
