Storm Vector
A Storm is Brewing
If you were around from, say, 793 AD – 1066, the Seax knife would have been as indispensable as smartphones are today. Used by nearly everyone, this versatile tool was equally adept around the homestead and on the battlefield. The Storm Vector carries that legacy forward – a formidable modern outdoor knife built for those who need a substantial, reliable tool that blends historical significance with rugged capability.
Experience the evolution of a legendary design:
- Formidable 1095 High Carbon Steel Blade: The 12” cutting edge, forged from robust ¼” thick 1095 steel, offers excellent edge retention and proven durability for demanding tasks like processing wood or clearing thick brush.
- Ergonomic Black Canvas Micarta Handle: Crafted with modern resilience, the handle uses durable Black Canvas Micarta with striking blue G10 liners, providing a superior, comfortable grip that feels secure during hard use.
- Efficient High Flat Grind: Delivers potent cutting power for heavy work while retaining control for surprisingly precise slicing when needed.
- Distinctive Sniper Gray Finish: Adds a modern tactical aesthetic while providing essential corrosion resistance to the high carbon steel blade.
- Adaptable Kydex & Leather Sheath: Securely housed in black Kydex with an exposed spine and a supple leather dangler, allowing for comfortable carry and flexible movement.
While traditional Seax blades varied greatly, our interpretation focuses on practical performance. The robust 1095 steel is paired with thoughtful ergonomics, resulting in a large knife often described by users as feeling "surprisingly wieldy" and "lighter than expected." It bridges the gap between a historical artifact and a highly capable modern survival tool, ready for demanding situations.
Please Note: The Sniper Gray Cerakote finish protects the main blade surface from corrosion. However, the exposed 1095 high carbon steel cutting edge should be kept clean and lightly oiled after use, particularly in wet conditions, to maintain its performance and prevent rust.

Took two years but it was worth the wait. Ergonomic are great, handle very comfortable,
its lighter then expected, and seems smaller then invisioned, but in a good way very wieldy. Chops good with the high flat grind. Love the blue liners, need more models with the blue liners.
The only complaint I have is the edge. The edge is wavy. The first I have seen from Tops. Probly a new guy, or someone just not on their game. I understand it but imo that's a flaw that should not make it through the QC. (Posted on 1/23/2023) - Fun
- Perfect compliment to my Vi-Axe. Besides the obvious zombie apocalypse defense uses, this one makes if fun to cut branches away from fallen trees. Ergonomics are great, feels great in the hand. My son cleared the branches on 5 fallen trees for me, he tried to claim it as his own. This thing is cool, and fun to use. Great color scheme. Still sharp after a full day of chopping wood and clearing trees in the backyard. (Posted on 1/26/2021)
