The Tahoma Field Knife is designed to provide anything the outdoor professional would need in a knife.

"My load out for my camera is sometimes 45 lbs, and that's not including any food or equipment for my-self to keep me alive. Designing a knife that would keep my weight down to a minimum and comfortable for all day use was really the goal." said Andy.

His background in tinkering, and fundamental knowledge of physics and human movement was the foundation and basis of development for the Tahoma Field Knife.

The tip has a double edge, used as a backup blade in the event the main edge should become dull during an extended period of time without a means to sharpen. The notch on the spine of the blade is used for scoring materials to create a weak point to break, as well as break wire by work hardening it, and pulling pots and similar items out of a fire. The thumb ramp has a hole in it for a forward wrist lanyard popular in cutting contests as well as to aid in lashing the knife to the end of a stick to make a spear. The finger choil makes bringing the hand closer to the blade possible for fine carving tasks. The choil also creates a secondary "tip" for carving or notching. The overall shape of the handle is made for ergonomics and to give the user a better grasp like on a machete. Dual spindle sockets for a bow drill make it safe to use left or right hand operation. On the pommel of the knife is a pry bar, shaped and positioned so that if given a backseat grip on the knife during chopping, it would not cut, or wear into your hand. Every feature is integrated into the knife to work with each other, as well as be instinctual to the user so that it feels like an extension of the body.

Whether you're in the field collecting specimens, or in the field defending freedom, the Tahoma Field Knife is a reliable companion in an uncertain world.

The Forest Bends to the Will if the TFK
Best all around woods knife you can buy.
If you’re looking for one knife to take into the wilderness, this is it. I have used my Tahoma Field Knife on dozens of deep wilderness trips. I didn’t even think about using my backup knife or even my pocket knife.
This is (imho) the best designed, most useful tool I have ever carried into the field.
Get one, you will not regret it.

Worth the money
Came sharp out of the box and has a very versatile sheath. ( I still prefer leather as a given but this sheath I'm fine with keeping for some time ) Can see this being everything from a chopper to a fish scaler if need be.

Definitely made by someone who plans on using it themselves.

First Tops
Picked this up at the Tulsa gun show on the 10th. Never heard of you before but your display caught my eye and your crew was very helpful answering questions. Man this knife is far more practical than my Busse for everyday outdoor chores. I'm really impressed with this knife. Andy did a great job on this knife. This is my first but won't be my last. sugerencia: mejorar mango y rompecocos
Wilderness Confidence
In the Wilderness this is a Knife. Only Con is the color of the handle that I know from recommending it turns off perspective buyers. However people who use it or watch me use it in camp or woods become interested very quickly. I find now I leave my small forest axe behind and don't miss the weight in the least. and the first time you take it to the woods you will love the way it handles and its light weight. Tahoma holds an edge. Andy Tran not only designed but put a lot of time testing and redesigning this blade before allowing his name to define a wilderness knife. A good knife has a feeling that live in the person who picks it up this one is Confidence.

Well designed, light weight and functional...
This blade is awesome. Held edge very well and while doing some testing chipped the tip slightly and Tops has awesome customer service who promptly got it back to factory condition.

Andy Tran put a lot of thought into the blade and it shows. This is a Bushcrafter's wet dream. Delivers everything you'd want out in the bush. Additionally it is lightweight so if you needed it in a fight weight won't be an issue.

This blade is Angry Jackalope Approved.
