Description
Details

By pure definition, the Smoke Jumper is a wildland fire fighter that parachutes into a remote area to combat wildfires. These individuals go through a very tough and strenuous training course, which many do not complete. All in all, this job has been glamorized in many movies, but it is difficult, backbreaking work that is very dangerous.

This tool was designed with the Smoke Jumper in mind. Specifically its extra thick tip design is perfect for deep penetration, splitting, batoning, and prying if required. Its design further enables the user to make strong, downward strokes for maximum cutting and penetration.

TOPS salutes the Smoke Jumpers with honor and appreciation.

Solid knife just missing a few details
Had this knife for over half a year and still love it. Great value for price and the most durable knife I’ve ever held. Would recommend for anyone that is looking for a knife that needs to be ready to stand up to brutal punishment and ask for more. The two details I didn’t like were the metal clip on the sheath it kept the knife way too high up and would dig into my side and interfere with backpack belts. And seeing as this knife is supposed to be for wild land firefighters I wish it had a gut hook on the back or the option for one, not every situation on the fire line needs the whole blade. A gut hook on the spine would be perfect for whipping out and severing the bailer twine that holds hose rolls together. Review by Curtis (Posted on 4/5/2019)
