Street Spike
Simplicity and Strength in a Small Package
TOPS is well-known for producing interesting and wild designs. Sometimes, though, the simplest designs fill a need. Designing a good knife can be difficult, but it doesn’t always have to be. When Leo set out to design the Street Spike, he was just looking for a basic, no-frills tool that combines concealability, strength, and utility flawlessly, while keeping the lowest price possible on the knife.
He started with 1/4" 1095 stock, lightened it up by skeletonizing the handle, and radiused the edges to make it comfortable without a handle. Add on a simple Kydex sheath and you have a knife that will replace what a lot of people are currently using as an EDC. It’s small enough to fit in a pocket or to be worn as a neck knife. The Beta Loop straps will also allow a multitude of carrying positions.
