Ivie
Small and Robust
Every year, TOPS employees get involved in the design aspect of knives through the TOPS Employee Design Challenge. This challenge has gone on for several years now and each year, TOPS has had a new winner. From the Dicer 8 to the Grandpa’s Ax, to the dive knives, and now to the Ivie, some great designs have come from this challenge/tradition.
The Ivie was designed by Cody Ivie. He is a BJJ enthusiast, and lover of knives. While this gives him a leg up on some in terms of knife knowledge, that doesn’t always apply to design. In this case, it did. The Ivie is an excellent small EDC blade. It is a stout 3/16” thick 1095 Wharncliffe blade. The 2-finger handle has black canvas Micarta. Somehow, this design feels comfortable in the handle while taking up a very small amount of space. This makes it very easy to carry open or concealed, as a neck knife, in the pocket, on the belt, wherever you prefer. So if you’re looking for a stout EDC Wharncliffe in a tiny package, this will be your next EDC.
