Silent Hero 4
For the Every Day Hero
The original purpose behind the Silent Hero knife was to provide a mid-large sized tool to be used by a specialized interdiction unit that was combating rhino poachers in Africa. It is an excellent design and has served many people on multiple continents. Over time, Anton (the designer) realized that he didn’t always need such a large knife strapped to his hip.
This is where the Silent Hero 4 was born. The handle and blade shape of the full-sized knife were perfect for a variety of tasks. By shrinking them down, you end up with a knife that is much more easily carried as an EDC, but still long enough to handle the vast majority of cutting tasks. While the look of this smaller version is basically the same, there are a few differences. The blade is a bit thinner (1/8” instead of 3/16”), and it comes with a Kydex sheath instead of leather. So, whether you’re looking for a companion blade for your Silent Hero, or just prefer a blade length around 4” instead of 6”, this new Silent Hero 4 will be an excellent addition to your collection

- One of my favorite EDCs, and I pocket carry it...
-
My first TOPS knife but it made me a fan. I have bought the Sheep Creek, 107E, full size Silent Hero, Hammer Hawk and the Delta Unit 3 in a matter of a few months because of this little guy. My only beef with it is that I am not a fan of the scout carry set up and it is a bear to take the straps off. Once the straps were off though, and an Ulticlip was on, this makes for a nice pocket carry. A bit on the larger size, but I have smaller knives that aren’t nearly as easy to carry and cover. The blade shape is awesome, the grind is perfect, the finishes are great, and this is an outright work horse in the size of a Shetland pony. Ok, ok, it might be a bit larger than a Shetland, but you get the picture. I can carry it everyday in a pocket or bag, and it can work hard ALL the time. If they make it in acid rain, I’d probably get a second one.

- I always dream of having the Original Silent Hero ever since its released, but did not have any budget to purchased it, but when the the silent hero 4 was released, it makes me want the two models more. Its a good thing that I found a very good deal for the Silent Hero 4. I can say easily that it is one of the prettiest knives ever, perfect thickness and grind, its just so nice having a very efficient and functional knife, and looking good while using it. Tops knives are really top of the line. From its designs, manufacturing capabilities and the People behind it. Being a user of knives from outdoor use to daily cooking, this knife will surely be a top performer. (Posted on 10/6/2022)
- Satisfied
- I recently deployed to Iraq and I can confidently say that TOPS knives hold their weight. The Silent Hero 4 is my new EDC and I enjoy the full tang construction along with the rocky road grip tread. The jimping along the spine of the blade combined with hand stop were well thought out, in my opinion. (Posted on 3/14/2022)
